The smooth, caressing waves
Soften my journey calloused feet.
The trip had taken many days
One giant and weary feat.
I had sacrificed lots to travel here
However, all was worth it
Knowing I would reach my Montauk dear
All I can do is sit.
Tranquil waters complete the scene
Of the overcast bitter end.
The pacific ocean provided a screen
Separating the real world from those who wish to pretend.
For now I will rest upon the sand
Watch the clouds roll past and the waves roll in.
Soon I will sit up and take in the peaceful land
A place where the dreamers lie within.
